Under ICBC’s Enhanced Care program, everyone injured in a vehicle crash is automatical reapproved for a set number of treatments without a doctor’s referral during the first 1 weeks from the date of injury. Coverage includes:

  • 25 sessions each of physiotherapy and chiropractic
  • 12 sessions each of massage therapy, kinesiology (active rehab), acupuncture

Once you’ve reached either the 12-week period or used the maximum number of pre-approved sessions, your practitioner can submit a request to ICBC for treatment extension. These requests are quite common and, in most cases, do not cause any delays or interruptions in your care. Your care plan is fully personalized and flexible to fit your needs.
